Bulk Trash Collection Helpful Information

Bulk Trash

Bulk Trash Collection is provided for items generated from your residence that are too large to fit in your residential trash cart and brush items. Items include appliances, furniture, trees, tree limbs, brush, plants and/or leaves.  Bulk service is for your residential items only. Bulk limit maximum is 10 cubic yards per residence each month per the new contract in February 2016.

Per Ordinance No. 777dated August 4, 2020 and effective September 1, 2020: It is a violation of this ordinance to place or store Bulky or Brush items less than 25 feet from the edge of the surface of the road or anywhere that may be visible to the public before the Thursday prior to the scheduled Monday of the week for such items to be removed by the City's solid waste service provider.

Residents may place their bulky or brush items within 10 feet from the edge of the roadbed as early as the Thursday prior to your scheduled Monday week for such items to be removed by the City solid waste service provider. Violators may be fined up to $500.00 per each offense.

Bulk/Brush items are to be set out no later than 7:00 AM on your scheduled Monday and placed in the same location as normal trash carts. Residents west of Dillehay Drive and Hogge Road (residences where normal trash and recycling are collected on Thursday) are scheduled for the 3rd Monday of each month. Residents east of Dillehay Drive and Hogge Road (residences where normal trash and recycling are collected on Friday) are scheduled for the 4th Monday of each month. Republic Services has until the end of each scheduled bulk week to recover your items. Observed holidays could cause a delay in pickup (See the city website calendar for rescheduled dates).

If your bulk items are not recovered by the end of your week, please call 972-442-6811 or email Kat Clark in the Utility Billing Department at the next business day to follow up on it for you.
