Support of the Fire Department
The club makes an annual financial donation to the Parker Volunteer Fire Department. Plans are expanding this year to providing dinner for the firefighters at one or more of their training sessions.
Our club carries out an annual outreach to one or more families with needs in our community. The specific needs are identified and displayed on the Angel Tree prior to the Christmas holiday. The Angel Tree is placed in City Hall to allow more volunteers throughout the community to be involved in making the family’s holiday brighter.
City of Parker Directory
The 40th Anniversary Year Edition of the City of Parker Directory, sponsored by the PWC, was published in December, 2013. Keeping with past tradition, a group of PWC volunteers worked for over five months to help fund, produce, and publish the latest Directory. All households in the City of Parker were delivered a free copy by PWC volunteers. New residents also receive a complimentary copy at City Hall when they move into the City. This major community service and fundraising project serves as a valuable reference for Parker residents, as well as all City employees, and the members of the Parker Volunteer Fire Department (PVFD). Extra copies are available for purchase at City Hall for $5.00 each.
