Mayor and Council Election - May 10, 2014
A City election will be held May 10, 2014 to elect the Mayor and two Councilmembers for a two year term.  Council seats up are Lee Pettle's and Scott Levine's. 

Serving as an effective city elected official requires dedication, knowledge, and a substantial commitment in time, and there are countless reasons why people choose to run for public office. While you may have a very specific reason for seeking a place on the city council, you will be involved in a number of other issues that can have a lasting impact on your city’s future. Drawing for Place on the Ballot will be held March 3 at 10:00 AM at City Hall, 5700 E. Parker Road, Parker 75002 Public Notice

Filing for candidacy will be January 29, 2014 through February 28, 2014.  Public Notice

To vote in the May Election you must be a registered voter.  The deadline to file your application is April 10, 2014.  More Information

This ‘open forum’ event gives Parker citizens an opportunity to hear from the candidates who are running for City office in the May 10th City Election.

Photo ID now required for voting in Texas
Austin - Texas Secretary of State John Steen announced on June 25, 2013, that photo identification will now be required when voting in Texas elections. His announcement follows a decision by the U.S. Supreme Court that cleared the way for photo ID requirements in Texas, originally passed by the Texas Legislature in 2011, to take effect. Read more....
