UPDATE - 1/5/2026: The proposed ordinance was modified to align with the Council's requested revisions from the 12/16/2025 regular meeting and workshop.
City Council is in the home stretch of finalizing proposed amendments to the noise ordinance. They plan to continue discussion and hearing from our citizens through the month of January 2026. After taking to heart our resident's concerns that have been expressed over the past year, one additional workshop will be scheduled for 1/6/2026 at 5:30 p.m. No vote will be taken during this meeting.
Important Dates:
- January 6th, 2026: Noise discussion on workshop ONLY (No voting)
- January 20th, 2026: Review of finalized ordinance language (1st reading)
- February 3rd, 2026: Review of finalized ordinance language and first possible VOTE (2nd reading)
As of 12/20/2026, the ordinance is still being revised to account for recently requested edits by City Council. Once complete, the proposed ordinance can be found attached to this update as well as all published Council agenda packets.

Comments sent to this address are immediately distributed to the Mayor, all members of City Council, and key staffers. Comments received 24 hours prior to a scheduled City Council meeting will be included with the record, all others will be pushed to the next scheduled Council meeting.
